I didn’t become a counsellor because it was a career choice. I became a counsellor because I was afraid.
Afraid that my own unhealed wounds would one day hurt the people I loved most. Afraid that the pain I carried would be the legacy I passed down.
As a teenager, I never imagined being a wife or a mother. I didn’t believe I could truly belong or be loved. But Allah, in His mercy, blessed me with a kind and loving husband, and children who fill my life with joy. With that blessing came a responsibility I couldn’t ignore, to heal, to grow, and to break the cycle of generational trauma.
That journey transformed me. It brought me closer to Allah, strengthened my marriage, deepened my connection with my children, and ignited my life’s work: helping others find peace within themselves.
Today, I am an integrative psychotherapist and counsellor, combining Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Person-Centred Therapy (PCT), psychodynamic approaches, trauma-informed practice, and Islamic psychology. I am also a leadership and parenting coach, with a specialism in child and adolescent counselling. My work is rooted in compassion, cultural competence, and faith-aware practice, ensuring every client feels seen, respected, and supported.
If you work with me, you can expect warmth, honesty, and a belief in your ability to heal, even if right now, you don’t believe it yourself. I’ve walked the path from fear to faith, from pain to peace, and I know: the cycle can be broken.
