All content (text, video, audio, graphics, course materials) remains the property of Peace Within. You may not reproduce, share, or resell our content without written consent.

4. Payments

  • All payments must be made in advance.
  • Memberships are billed on a recurring basis until cancelled.
  • You are responsible for ensuring payment details are accurate and up to date.

5. Cancellations and Refunds

6. Disclaimer of Liability

  • Services are provided “as is” without guarantee of outcomes.
  • Counselling and coaching are supportive interventions but not substitutes for medical treatment.
  • Peace Within is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of our services.

3. Refund & Cancellation Policy

Counselling & Coaching

  • Appointments cancelled with more than 24 hours’ notice may be rescheduled.
  • Less than 24 hours’ notice: full session fee applies.

Courses & Memberships

  • Digital courses are non-refundable once accessed.
  • Memberships can be cancelled at any time but no pro-rata refunds will be given.

Events & Workshops

  • Cancellations up to 7 days prior: full refund.
  • Within 7 days: no refund.

6. Confidentiality & Safeguarding Statement

Peace Within upholds strict confidentiality. Information shared in sessions remains private except in the following circumstances:

  • If there is a risk of serious harm to yourself or others.
  • If required by law or court order.
  • If safeguarding concerns arise involving children or vulnerable adults.

Session records are stored securely in line with GDPR and professional standards.


7. Complaints Procedure

We are committed to high standards of service. If you wish to raise a complaint:

  2. If unresolved, complaints may be escalated to our professional body (e.g., BACP or other relevant association).

9. Safeguarding Children & Young People Policy

Peace Within is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults. We believe every individual has the right to be protected from harm, abuse, and exploitation.

1. Scope

This policy applies to all Peace Within staff, contractors, counsellors, coaches, volunteers, and anyone engaged in delivering services on our behalf.

2. Principles

  • The welfare of the child is paramount (Children Act 1989 & 2004).
  • All children have equal rights to protection, regardless of age, gender, culture, ability, or religion.
  • We work in line with UK safeguarding laws and professional codes of practice.

3. Responsibilities

  • Staff & Practitioners must remain alert to signs of abuse, neglect, or exploitation.
  • Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL):  All safeguarding concerns must be reported to the DSL immediately.
  • If a child is at risk of immediate harm, staff must contact emergency services (999).

4. Confidentiality

Information will be shared strictly on a need-to-know basis in line with GDPR and safeguarding protocols.

5. Types of Abuse

We recognise the following categories: physical abuse, emotional abuse, sexual abuse, neglect, online exploitation, radicalisation.

6. Responding to Concerns

  • Record concerns factually and report to the DSL.
  • DSL will assess and, if necessary, refer to local safeguarding boards, social services, or police.
  • Support will be offered to those affected while investigations take place.

7. Safer Practice

  • All counsellors and coaches working with children will undergo enhanced DBS checks.
  • Sessions with children and young people must follow professional ethical boundaries and safeguarding guidance.

10. Community Guidelines

Peace Within offers online and in-person communities to support learning, healing, and growth. To maintain a safe and supportive environment, all members agree to the following guidelines:

1. Respect & Kindness

  • Treat others with dignity, compassion, and respect.
  • No hate speech, bullying, or discrimination will be tolerated.

2. Confidentiality

  • What is shared in groups stays within the group.
  • Do not share another member’s personal story or details outside without their consent.

3. Appropriate Behaviour

  • No spam, promotion of external services, or solicitation.
  • No sharing of explicit, harmful, or unlawful content.
  • Language must remain respectful and mindful of Islamic values.

4. Safeguarding

  • If you become aware of a safeguarding concern, report it to the admin team immediately.
  • Community spaces are moderated to ensure safety for all members.

5. Participation

  • Be open to listening, learning, and contributing positively.
  • Differences of opinion are respected, but debates must remain polite and constructive.

6. Consequences

  • Breaching these guidelines may result in warnings, suspension, or removal from the group/community without refund.
